A better experience, from the first conversation.

A fire alarm should fit the needs of the building and be straightforward for the people responsible for it. Digilec supplies, installs, commissions and maintains fire detection and alarm systems for commercial premises, residential projects and occupied buildings.

We work with owners, facilities managers, electrical and M&E contractors to turn the agreed fire alarm requirements into a practical installation. Clear proposals, considered equipment selection and an organised handover are part of the service.

Introducing Ajax EN54

Less cabling.
More possibility.

Ajax EN54 brings wireless detection and alarm devices together around a touchscreen Fire Hub. It is a particularly attractive option for refurbishments, occupied premises and buildings where new cable routes would be difficult or disruptive.

Wireless field devices can reduce installation work and help preserve finished interiors. We still assess radio coverage, the building fabric, power arrangements and the required alarm performance before recommending the system.

Made for the way your site works

Professional fire protection.
A refreshingly clear approach.

01

Thoughtful detection

Smoke and heat detection selected for the spaces being protected, with manual call points and audible or visual warnings to suit the agreed design.

02

A clear control point

Ajax EN54’s touchscreen and addressable device information help authorised staff understand where an event has occurred and see the system’s status.

03

Connected oversight

Supported Ajax app features can bring fire events, compatible intruder protection and camera views into a convenient management environment.

Commercial & residential

The right system starts with the right brief.

Commercial buildings. Offices, retail, hospitality, education and other workplaces need a system planned around the premises and the agreed fire strategy. We work to the relevant BS 5839-1 recommendations for the specified scope, including detection, warnings, interfaces and handover.

Grade A, Category LD2. Where specified for a residential project, we can provide a panel-based Grade A system with Category LD2 coverage under BS 5839-6. LD2 covers escape routes and specified higher-risk rooms or areas. It is a design requirement, not simply a label on a detector.

For HMOs, other multi-occupancy properties and large homes, the required grade and category depend on the premises, fire risk assessment and applicable requirements. Communal areas and individual dwellings can need different arrangements. We coordinate the installation with the appointed fire-safety adviser and agreed strategy.
Wireless or wired

The platform should serve the project.

Ajax EN54 is a strong option for a modern wireless installation. We also supply, install and maintain systems using Advanced, Kentec, Apollo and C-TEC equipment, selecting compatible panels, detectors and devices for the project.

If you already have a wired system, we can assess its condition and the scope of a sensible extension or upgrade. We will explain when existing equipment can be retained and when a different approach is justified.

From plan to handover

One team to bring the details together.

01

Understand

Review the specification, site constraints and required system category, then survey the building and agree the scope.

02

Deliver

Install and commission the selected equipment, coordinate agreed interfaces and document the work and any variations.

03

Support

Provide practical user guidance and relevant handover documents, with a maintenance plan to keep the system supported.

A little clarity

Your questions, answered.

Does a wireless fire alarm mean no wiring at all?

Wireless devices reduce the need for field cabling. The control equipment still needs a suitable power arrangement, and specified interfaces may require wiring. We confirm the complete installation during design.

Can fire, intruder alarms and CCTV work together?

Ajax EN54 supports a combined environment with compatible intrusion and video products. Each function must still meet its own design requirements; the fire alarm must not depend on someone checking a camera or phone before responding.

Can you work from our consultant’s specification?

Yes. Send us the specification, drawings and programme. We can review the proposed equipment, installation requirements and coordination with other trades, and provide a clear quotation.

Let’s talk about your building

Request a fire alarm quote.

Send us your site location, the type of building and what you need help with. If you have a fire alarm specification, floor plans or an existing service report, those are a useful starting point.
