Reliable support for occupied buildings

Look after the system that looks after your people.

Fire alarm maintenance is an ongoing responsibility. Digilec helps businesses, landlords and facilities teams keep inspections organised, understand system condition and address issues with a clear plan.

We service Ajax EN54 wireless systems and support installations using Advanced, Kentec, Apollo and C-TEC equipment. Whether you have one building or a portfolio, we agree the service scope around the system, access arrangements and applicable requirements.

What we look after

Care that covers the complete system.

01

Detection & warning

Functional testing of detectors, manual call points and alarm devices within the planned service programme, with attention to condition, obstruction and changes in the building.

02

Power & communication

Checks on control equipment, power supplies and standby batteries, with wireless device battery and radio-link status reviewed where applicable.

03

Records & interfaces

Review of the event history, logbook and available documentation, plus agreed interface tests coordinated with the people responsible for connected systems.

Ajax EN54 maintenance

Wireless convenience.
Proper ongoing care.

Ajax EN54 provides device status and event information that can help us investigate reported issues and plan a visit. Where supported and authorised, remote diagnostics can make the first conversation more useful.

Remote access does not replace the required on-site inspection and functional testing. Wireless devices also need planned battery care and a review of radio performance as the building or its use changes.

Clear scope. Clear records.

A maintenance agreement you can manage.

We agree visits and testing around the relevant BS 5839 recommendations, manufacturer instructions and the needs of your premises. The proposal sets out the planned work, support arrangements and how additional repairs are handled.

After servicing, you receive a record of the work and findings, with any recommended remedial action explained. This helps your responsible person keep track of the installation and make informed decisions.

Routine user tests and checks remain important between service visits. We can explain the agreed responsibilities and help your team understand the logbook, fault reporting and who to contact.

Changing service provider?

We can review the system you already have.

You do not need a new fire alarm to start a conversation with Digilec. We can assess an existing installation for maintenance, reviewing equipment condition, available records and authorised access before agreeing a takeover.

For an occupied site, testing and any monitoring arrangements are coordinated in advance to limit avoidable disruption. A service visit does not automatically certify an inherited design; identified gaps and any further work are recorded clearly.

A little clarity

Your questions, answered.

Can you maintain a fire alarm installed by someone else?

Yes, subject to a review of the equipment, condition, access and available documentation. We identify any work needed before agreeing the ongoing maintenance scope.

How often should the system be serviced?

The appropriate programme follows the applicable standard, system type, risk and manufacturer guidance. We confirm the schedule in your proposal, including what is covered across the service programme.

Can remote checks replace a service visit?

No. Supported remote diagnostics can help investigate faults and prepare for attendance, but do not replace required on-site inspection and physical testing.

Let’s talk about your building

Discuss a maintenance agreement.

Send us your site location, the type of building and what you need help with. If you have a fire alarm specification, floor plans or an existing service report, those are a useful starting point.
