Installation planning

A good cloud system still depends on the physical installation. We survey the doors and agree readers, controllers, locking, power supplies, cabling and network connections.
For a migration, we assess existing equipment before proposing what to retain or replace. Changeover planning covers access continuity, credentials, administrator setup and commissioning.
The required exit function is established for each door. We coordinate normal exit, emergency release and any required fire interfaces with the building’s agreed escape arrangements.

Compatible Aperio wireless locking gives additional options for bringing internal doors into an Alta Access project. We review the supported locks, hubs and project arrangement, then coordinate them with the wired access points.
Our Aperio-trained installers can help assess suitable H100, L100 and E100 options against the current integration and the physical door requirements.

We agree the installation programme with your facilities team or contractor, configure the specified access groups and test the agreed operation. Handover focuses on the tasks your administrators will actually use.
After installation, Digilec can provide maintenance, fault investigation and permitted remote support. Physical door or equipment faults may still need an engineer visit.
Have an existing Alta installation? Tell us what is fitted, which doors are affected and what you want to change. We can assess upgrades, additions or support without assuming you need a replacement system.

Is Avigilon Alta the system formerly called Openpath?
Alta Access is the cloud access-control platform formerly known as Openpath. We can review existing Openpath installations as part of an upgrade, extension or support enquiry.
Can we manage several buildings through Alta?
Yes. We design the administration, permissions and equipment around the sites involved, including network and support requirements at each location.
Can you install Alta alongside existing locks?
Potentially. We assess the installed locks, power, door condition and required exit behaviour before confirming what can be retained.
