When your building is closed, the plan still matters
An alarm notification is only useful if someone knows what to do next. A monitored system sends signals to an Alarm Receiving Centre, where they are handled in accordance with the agreed procedures.
As an SSAIB-certificated company, Digilec can provide monitored intruder and hold-up alarm installations, including arrangements eligible for police response where the relevant requirements are met. We establish the right approach for your premises rather than treating monitoring as a single standard package.
Designed around your risk
Retail stock, office equipment, hospitality premises and commercial storage present different risks. We consider the building, occupancy, access arrangements and any insurer requirements when planning detection and signalling.
Ajax, Texecom and Honeywell systems provide options for different projects. The selected equipment, system grade and communications must fit the design; a brand name or an app on its own does not establish suitability.
Digilec is approved to install Ajax Superior products. This professional range includes equipment certified to relevant intruder alarm standards. We select the appropriate products and configure the complete installation to meet the specified grade and applicable PD 6662 requirements.
We provide an SSAIB Certificate of Conformity for our certified alarm installations, giving you documentation to share with your insurer. We can also carry out ongoing servicing in accordance with the applicable standards and agreed maintenance requirements.
Monitoring and police response are different things
An Alarm Receiving Centre can handle events and contact nominated keyholders in line with your arrangements. Police response requires additional conditions, including the applicable police policy, a compliant system and the appropriate police reference arrangements.
Not every activation results in police attendance, and attendance cannot be guaranteed. Intruder and hold-up alarms have their own requirements. We explain the proposed arrangements clearly so you understand who receives events and what happens next.
Insurance requirements vary. Some policies require professional monitoring without police response; others specify a compliant, maintained alarm without requiring monitoring. Share the alarm clause with us so we can design around the actual requirement and help you obtain any clarification needed from your insurer.
Make everyday operation straightforward
Authorised users need to know how to set and unset the system, manage changes and respond to faults. With supported systems, app access can make day-to-day operation convenient while professional monitoring provides a separate response process.
We help establish suitable user permissions, keyholder details and practical handover information. Good operation and planned maintenance help reduce avoidable activations and keep the monitoring arrangements useful.
New installation or an existing system
We can design a new monitored alarm or assess an existing installation for takeover and monitoring changes. Existing contracts, communications equipment, system condition and documentation all need to be reviewed before a transfer.
Tell us about your premises, your current system if you have one, and any insurance requirements. We can then recommend a route from site assessment to installation, commissioning and ongoing maintenance.
