Support that starts with your system
An unexplained fault. Repeated activations. A maintenance agreement that no longer gives you the support you need. You need someone who can understand the installation and give you a clear next step.
Digilec maintains and investigates intruder alarm systems, including Ajax, Texecom and Honeywell. We can help with an individual call-out or review an existing installation for an ongoing service agreement—even when we did not install it.
Find the cause. Restore dependable protection.
We look at the installation as a whole: detector operation, power supplies, standby batteries where fitted, tamper circuits, communications and the way the building is used. A persistent fault may come from ageing equipment, a changed environment or configuration that no longer matches the site.
Our approach is to identify the cause, explain the options and agree the work. Where remote access is supported and authorised, we can also investigate suitable issues remotely. Equipment access, compatibility and the nature of the fault determine what can be resolved without a visit.
A maintenance agreement that fits your operation
Planned servicing helps identify deterioration before it interrupts your business. We agree a service scope around the system, monitoring arrangements and site requirements, with checks and findings recorded so you know what needs attention.
Agreements can include planned maintenance visits, remote technical support and reduced call-out rates. Response arrangements are agreed to suit your priorities; the scope and availability are confirmed in your proposal. For monitored systems, the servicing arrangements must also support the relevant certification and monitoring requirements.
Insurance requirements can include continued servicing of an alarm installed to PD 6662, even where monitoring or police response is not required. We agree the maintenance arrangements around the applicable standards and your policy requirements, and provide service records for the work carried out.
Changing alarm company? Keep the useful equipment.
A takeover starts with a review of the system condition, documentation, authorised access and any existing monitoring or contractual commitments. We identify what can remain, what needs attention and whether any changes are needed before accepting responsibility for maintenance.
Changing provider does not automatically mean replacing your alarm. Equally, an inherited installation should not be assumed suitable simply because it still sets. We help you make an informed decision, with a clear scope rather than an unnecessary full replacement.
For installations we certify, Digilec provides an SSAIB Certificate of Conformity, which may be required by your insurer. For an existing system, we first assess its condition and any remedial work needed before confirming the appropriate certification arrangements.
Help for facilities teams and occupied buildings
We work with end users, facilities managers and contractors who need dependable support for offices, retail, hospitality, education and residential property. Visits can be coordinated around access arrangements and the daily use of the building.
To get started, send us the alarm make, the fault message if there is one, your location and whether the system is monitored. A photograph of the keypad or panel label can help identify the equipment. Please do not send alarm codes or passwords by email.
